IMPORTANT INFORMATION

If you need to cancel your place, a full refund (100% of course fees) is available if your request is made at least six weeks before the course start date. Alternatively, you may request to defer your booking or swap dates if the request is also made more than six weeks before the course begins.

We cannot transfer, rebook, or refund a place on one of our courses due to illness if the cancellation is within six weeks, unless you can fill this place with another student. This includes illness from any viruses, including COVID-19. If a customer is too ill to attend, they should not attend. Unfortunately, any course fees paid will not be refunded. This is because our courses are run with very limited numbers, usually only four students and we do not keep a waiting list.

However, places can be gifted or passed on to another person free of charge if the attendee is unable to attend due to illness or any other reason. If you do this, please provide us with the new attendee's contact details so we can prepare them for the course. Customers are encouraged to seek their own insurance or check if their booking is covered by any travel insurance they may have.

By booking a course, purchasing a voucher, hiring private tuition or facilities, booking us for an event (public or private), or buying goods from us, you will be entering into a legal contract with James Cockerill of HALTglass. The following terms and conditions apply when booking a service with James Cockerill of HALTglass:

  1. Class Size: Class sizes are kept to a minimum, usually between 4-5 people according to individual courses, for maximum benefit to students.

  2. Materials: Most courses include basic materials. Students may purchase additional or specialist materials from us.

  3. Course or Hire – Enrolment/Allocation: Places on courses and events are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Bookings are confirmed by payment in full. In the event of overbooking, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered a full refund or a transfer of services.

  4. Confirmation of Booking: You will receive confirmation of your booking by email upon receipt of your course fee. Pre-course or other event information can also be found on the relevant course page on our website. Please download and read this information carefully.

  5. Cancellation or Changes by You: By booking and paying for your course or hire session, you agree to attend on the specified days. If you cancel your place more than 6 weeks before the course date, you will be refunded 100% of your fee. If you cancel less than six weeks before the course date, no part of the fee will be refunded. All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable).

  6. Cancellation by Us: We reserve the right to cancel a course, hire session, or event for any reason. In this event, you will be advised of alternative dates or vacancies. If you do not wish to book on an alternative date, you can either accept a credit towards another course or receive a full refund.

  7. Cancellation Insurance: We advise students to arrange course cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen events such as illness, unfavourable weather, or the cancellation of a course by us for which travel and accommodation costs are incurred.

  8. Transfers: If you would like to transfer to a different course or date, we may be able to accommodate you, subject to availability, as long as the request is made no less than six weeks before the course is due to start. Within 6 weeks of the course start date, we may be able to offer a transfer to another course if the original place can be re-sold to another student. In this case, please inform us of the change of attendee (name and contact). For example, if you are unable to attend, you may pass on or resell the course place to a family member or friend.
