Im excited to launch my 3-day Printing for Fusers class, catering especially to enthusiasts of glass fusion who want to cover their fused panels with high-quality images of their own. 

Over the three days, we will progress from image selection to kiln , navigating through various processes to silk screen your fused panels using kiln-fired enamels and powdered glass frit.

The primary emphasis of this course is to teach you with new techniques and empower you to sustain your printing post-course. It is suitable for both experienced fusers and absolute beginners alike.

Day One:

During this day, we will assess your images and transform them into stencils, transferring them onto silk screens using photosensitive emulsion. Additionally, we will explore various other stenciling techniques to provide you with a diverse range of skills for screen printing on glass.

The day will conclude with an opportunity to use the kiln in preparation for day two.

Day Two:

Focused on screen printing with powdered frit, this process enables you to print with glass onto glass for stunning bright colours. Following a full fuse, the results yield brightly colored, gem-like transparent glass images. These prints will be fired overnight, ensuring their readiness for day three.

Day Three:

Dedicated to screen printing your images onto fused panels using multi coloured enamels and traditional stained glass paints, the day integrates all the preparations from the initial two days. It also allows us to print multi layered images onto both the front and back of your fused panels.

The course fee includes materials and use of all equipment. I use float glass and float-compatible coloured frit, though you are welcome to bring your own brand of fusing glass and I can also supply Bullseye or Oceanside glass at cost price if you prefer.

The course is limited to 4 students so plenty of 1-1 tuition.

My studio is conveniently located near Guildford, GU47QD, just a 25-minute train ride from London Waterloo.

Terms of booking

If you need to cancel your place, a full refund (100% of course fees) is available if your request is made at least six weeks before the course start date. Alternatively, you may request to defer your booking or swap dates if the request is also made more than six weeks before the course begins.

Due to our very small class sizes, cancellations made within six weeks of the course start date are not eligible for a refund. However, you are welcome to resell or gift your place on the course. If you do so, please provide the contact details of the new participant so we can ensure they’re fully prepared for the course.
